Active quarry in Permian andesitic volcanic rocks. The lava abundantly contains mineralized amygdules. Some fracture zones are present, mineralized with calcite and copper sulfide mineralization. In the area of the quarry, old galleries from copper mining were found during the excavations.

Located 1.5 km SE of Niederwörresbach and about 6.5 km NE of Idar-Oberstein.

Owned by the Juchem Gruppe company.
Operated (?) by F. L. Juchem & Söhne GmbH & Co. KG.
