A former small underground Pb-Ag-Cu-Au mine located in West-central sec. 12, T.17S., R.12E. (Twin Buttes 15 minute topo map), 1 mile SE of San Xavier on private land. Produced 1912-1918. Owned/operated by James Pemberton.
Mineralization is relatively weak and spotty replacement ore of partly oxidized lead and minor copper minerals along a fault contact of Paleozoic limestone and Cretaceous sedimentary beds.
Workings include tunnel operations. Worked intermittently from 1912 to 1918, producing some 100 tons of 6% Pb, 22 oz. Ag/T and minor Cu & Au.
