This mine was amalgamated with the East Pool mine in 1897 under the name East Pool and Agar Mine.
Ref.: P.G. Embrey, R.F. Symes: "Minerals of Cornwall and Devon", 1987, p. 43

Although a close neighbour of the rich and successful East Pool Mine, Wheal Agar never managed to match the richness of East Pool.

The mine site is now largely obscured by the Morrisons supermarket at Pool.

The site of Robarts Shaft is marked by a small concrete block structure in the supermarket car park, the shaft being used as part of South Crofty's ventilation circuit.
