Ravine located about 2 km west of the village of Pozo de Los Frailes, in which there are mines, works and abandoned dumps. In 2019, during their work of systematically exploring the mining heritage of the region, the members of the APGA group (Amigos del Patrimonio Geominero Almeriense - Friends of the Geomining Heritage of Almera) located the first specimens of the rare mineral herbertsmithite. This would be the first Spanish occurrence and one of the first at the world level. It is a species which was discovered in 2004 and which is underrepresented worldwide, often confused with other minerals of the atacamite group.

Although the area is still under study, some interesting species have already been identified, such as kasolite, linarite, native sulfur, willemite, phosphohedyphane, atacamite and paratacamite. All samples have been analyzed by Adolf Cortel at the University of Barcelona.
