Ancient mining and smelting site.
Mining operations were presumably performed between the 15th and 17th century. A prospect adit, which encountered also some ancient underground workings, was excavated in the 1920s in an outcropping vein of spatic siderite. Minerals are presently found in a dump, partly covered by vegetation.
Layers of copper smelting slags have been recently found in the area (Artioli et al., 2008).
