Kristen Dale from Bygland was a very active collector and visited localities throughout Norway. He discovered several new occurrences. In his map collection he marked several mineral localities, and we don't know what kind of localities they are or what minerals he found there. The relevant section of this map is published in Mindat in the hope that this information not will get lost.
The name of this locality is given for the valley. Judging by the place he marked on the map, it might very well be a roadcut. From 1975 onwards, there have been made no changes to the roadcut, and the surface will be covered by lichen and/or moss. This will make it hard to find back the place where he probably collected minerals interesting enough to mark it on the map.
