The Toconar Ravine (Barranco Toconar) is another place to find teruelite in the type locality for this variety of dolomite. It should be noted that in its head zone and on its left slope, a lateral ravine called Salobre Ravine (Barranco Salobre) empties, and it is sterile as far as teruelite is concerned. This ravine, and by extension the Barranco Toconar, should not be confused with the Salobral Ravine (Barranco del Salobral) mentioned in ancient literature. Said Barranco del Salobral corresponds to the Barranco del Nabo as it appears in modern maps, being Barranco del Salobral an old denomination.
The whole area of Toconar Ravine is easily accessible from a track that part of the main road from Teruel to Villalba Baja, at the height of the Alfambra River Bridge to the east, and rises through the ravine of La Laguna.
Geologically, the outcrops correspond with levels of Triassic age, corresponding to the Keuper facies.
