XRD results showed a few unidentified peaks; it is, therefore, more than likely that there is a second phase present.
The analyses also showed that MgO was low and S was high. Zamarreño et al. (1989) proved that in Motukoreaite, the concentration of sulfate ions varies between 9 and 18%, and that part of the sulfate ions can be replaced by carbonate ions. References: |
