The Woods Road outcrop is essentially on the Surry-Blue Hill town line just northwest of State Route 172. Originally believed to be in Surry because of the position of the townline post near a logging road where the locality existed. The collecting site was a low-lying ledge a meter or less in elevation immediately north by about 10-20 meters from the edge of Woods Road. The outcrop was about 100-250 meters from Route 172. Modern construction may have obliterated the locality.
