Lemoenfontein farm 443 LS has two known chromite deposits and a corundum deposit.

There is an occurrence of two prominent chromite-rich zones in serpentinite of Swazian age on this farm. This small circular 300 metre in diameter occurrence has been worked to a depth of 9 metres and the chromite ore is described as massive, high grade, nodular and pod-like in places. Tectonically layered and disseminated ore is also present. This deposit was abandoned because of the very small quantity available (Mothetha).
