Approximately 35 m north of the Åvesland 20 Feldspar Quarry a breccia is exposed. The breccia is located near the top of a low hill, but due to the steep hillsides not easy to reach. The best route can be seen at a simple map I drew.
In a matrix of fine-grained granitic composition amphibolite fragments are floating, with indication of flow-structures.
The surface of the exposure is very fresh, and suitable for geological study. Age-dating might reveal whether this breccia is related to the intrusion of the Høvringsvatnet granite/monzonite (975 Ma), or that it is related to the formation of the pegmatites (915 Ma).
