In the park around the impressive palace of count von Frankerberg in Grodziec, an old small quarry of Zechstein limestones. Instead of the original baroque garden, a landscape park was created at the beginning of the 19th century, in which around 1900 e.g. observation tower was built on the place of lime kiln, made of blocks of Cretaceous sandstones. Currently, due to erosion in the quarry, there is no exposure of limestone, and the only way to see rocks is overgrown heaps.

Azurite and malachite were subjected to occurrence of the limestone quarry (second one in the western-south part of the village), also Zechstein fossils.
Note: less than 500m north entrance to the Upadowa Grodziec Cu-mine. also in Zechstein limestones.
