The Dakalasu No.1 Be-Nb-Ta pegmatite contains 280 t BeO and 95 t (Ta + Nb)2O5 with an average grade of 0.05 % BeO and 0.02 % (Ta + Nb)2O5. The pegmatite is internally zone and hosted by a biotite granite porphyry. The No.1 pegmatite has a length of up to 200 m, and a thickness of 1.5 to 20.0 m. It dips to N310° to 320°, at an angle of 7° to 25°. The pegmatite can be divided into three zones: a medium to coarse-grained border zone, a blocky intermediate zone, and a core zone. The border zone is mainly composed of K-feldspar, quartz, muscovite, beryl, tourmaline, and fine-grained garnet. The intermediate zone mainly consists of blocky albite, quartz, muscovite, beryl (up to ten centimeters in length), as well as columbite-tantalite, tantalite, ferrocolumbite, and microlite. The core zone is featured by mega-crystal quartz, microcline, and muscovite .
This pegmatite is classified as a Be-Nb-mineralized NYF pegmatite.
