The Lhota uranium deposit was explored between 1953–1967 and 1975–1989 by five exploration shafts down to a depth of 250 m, and by numerous boreholes down to levels of 300 m to 600 m. During these two exploration stages, low-grade uranium mineralisation (0.120 wt % U) of 158 t U was found, but not mined.
