Steenkolenmijn Valkenburg
The Valkenburg "Coal Mine" in the Limburg city of Valkenburg in the municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul is a lifelike/reconstructed (not actual!) coal mine by, among other things, installing materials and machines from the closed coal mines. It is located in part of the old marl quarry, the Daalhemer Quarry. The entrance is on the Daalhemerweg. Behind and above the "coal mine" lies the Vogelbos forest.
The Roebroek quarry is located opposite the Steenkolenmijn.
