Active sea cliff between Playa de Vallehermoso and Castillo del Mar. Geologically, it is a place with no doubt related to the locality Vallehermoso dykes, Vallehermoso, La Gomera, Santa Cruz de Tenerife Province, Canary Islands, Spain (a distance of about 2 km).
Outcrops of different type of intrusive and mafic rocks in form of dykes in different thicknesses, but also irregular bodies (for example enclaves of green epidotes with good visible lustrous brown mica crystals up to 1cm). Some rocks as 'typical gabbro' with large twinned amphibole crystals up to 5 cm long (probably kaersutite according to the Rodríguez-Losada, Martínez-Frías, 1998). The typically volcanic rocks often with a large amount of strongly weathered olivines.
Note: This place is definitely dangerous, the buildings of Castillo del mar (places under permanent construction for tourists) were destroyed by falling rock blocks. Similarly, a landslide destroyed the asphalt road from the beach roundabout to this point.
