The mountain (2856 m) mainly consists of serpentinite, in which are embedded rodingite dykes.

The mineral potential of this tiring-to-reach mountain is still little known, although good specimens of red grossular, similar to those from Testa Ciarva, have been collected. The typical rodingite minerals include grossular var. hessonite, diopside, clinochlore, epidote, calcite, and magnetite.

Crystals of adularia in association with epidote have been observed in a non-rodingitic environment (Repossi, 1919).

Small epidote crystals embedded in quartz veins are found near the summit of the mountain (Brizio et al, 1984; Maletto & Piccoli, 2014).
