A surface placer Au deposit area located in secs. 13 & 23, T11S, R16E, and secs. 9, 17 and 18, T11S, R17E, in Alder Canyon, on the northern slope of the Santa Catalina Mountains, 28 to 30 miles NE of Tucson.
Mineralization is gold-bearing gravels that occur as dissected bars or benches along the stream and to some extent on the spurs between tributary gulches.
