Majia is a mountainous region next to Wutai district, also shares similar geology as slate terrene of southern Central Mountain Range. Some of hydrothermal veins can be found within these meta-sediments as records of late uplifting event. Well formed quartz with faden habits are frequently reported, with two distinct type of assemblages. (1)Quartz associated with Fe-rich carbonate such as ankerite or siderite, and (2) Quartz associated with chlorite. These two assemblage also differ with minor minerals. Specimens are continue to be found until 2023.
