The Cave of Gold, also known as Uamh Oir in Gaelic, is located in the Trotternish Peninsula of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It's a place full of local legend and folklore. It's said to be named for hidden treasures that pirates or fairies had left behind.
The area is famous for columnar basalt, similar to (and of the same age as) the famous Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.
