A small dyke of impure graphic granite carrying black mica occurs on these lots and was worked in a small way in 1923-24 by Industrial Minerals Corporation, of Toronto, who shipped about 200 tons of spar. Only a single small, surface pit was opened. The mine lies one-half mile from Beatty station, on the Canadian National railway. (Spence1932)
