The Pruus Karel II quarry is a marl quarry in the Dutch municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul in South Limburg. The underground quarry is located southeast of Valkenburg in the northeastern part of the Biebosch slope forest on the northeastern edge of the Margraten Plateau in the transition to the Geuldal. At the site, the plateau plunges steeply for several meters.
About 325 meters to the southwest is the Groeve van de Verdwenen Honden ("Quarry of the Lost Dogs"),
about 150 meters to the southeast is the Pruus Karel I quarry,
about 90 meters to the southeast is the Pruus Karel III quarry,
and about 400 meters to the northwest are the Gewand Quarry I and Gewand Quarry II.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, the quarry was mined by block crushers for the extraction of limestone.
The Pruus Karel II Quarry has an area of approximately 205 square meters and a corridor length of approximately 34 meters.
The entrance to the quarry is closed with bars, so that bats can use the quarry as a roost.
The quarry is cut into the Emael Limestone, just below the Laumont Horizon.
