Ancient iron mine, active working period during the 17th century.
Shortly after this time closed and forgotten.
In Second World War used by the inhabitants of Oberwolfach as a air-raid shelter against bombing.
Newly discovered in 2017, excavated and reconstructed by some local volunteers. The secured mine entrance can be visited now, an information plate is present nearby the entrance.
