A Fe occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 22 & in the NW¼ sec. 27, T41N, R2W, 5th Principal Meridian, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) W of Stanton, along the E side of Acid Mine Road, on private land. Mined for hematite by the Commercial Acid Company (Southern Acid and Sulfur Company) during the period 1916 into the 1930's. Operated by the Ozark Iron and Sulphur Company (1933-1934). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in a karst feature in Carboniferous limestone, about 250 x 350 feet and at least 160 feet thick. Marcasite and pyrite underlay the hematite and were mined for sulfuric acid production by Monsanto. Local rocks include rocks of the Roubidoux Formation.

Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings with dimensions of 500 feet by 350 feet by 95 feet deep overall.
