Deshgaon village is located in Khandwa tehsil of Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated 25km away from Khandwa, the total geographical area of village is 1582.95 hectares.

At the end of 2021, new finds of mesolite on ‘thomsonite’ were offered by Indian dealers.

It quickly became known that they came from near the village of Deshgaon in Khandwa district of the province of Madhya Pradesh. The crystal aggregates reach a maximum diameter of 20 mm. The radially arranged crystal termination is colorless and emerge from a reddish-color sphere. This is said to consist of thomsonite. However, analyses revealed that the aggregates consist of mesolite both in the center and at the crystal termination. The red color is only a thin zone approx. 2 mm thick, which analytically also consists of mesolite.
