Listvenites in Melenica occur along the edge of the tectonic zone at the contact of Jurassic diabase with Miocene volcanic rocks in close proximity to serpentinites. Mineral paragenesis shows typical IS epithermal mineralization, which leads to recrystallization of primary listvenites. The presence of listvenites in Melenica is significantly more limited and is associated with a tectonic zone on the contact of diabase with volcanic rocks, and rarely with Miocene sediments. The tectonic zone with listvenites and gossans is visible at a length of more than a few hundred meters, and it is thick up to 20 m, but listvenites are restricted to a small area with an outcrop approximately 20 m × 50 m close to the valley, and it is surrounded by an old prospecting gallery.
