Köppen climate type:
The products of Cretaceous magmatism in the Dayaoshan area primarily consist of the Baoshan monzonitic granite porphyry in the southern, Dali quartz monzonite (porphyry) in the central, and the Dapingtianshan granodiorite and monzonite as well as the Longtoushan granite porphyry and rhyolite porphyry in the southwestern. The intrusions occur as batholiths and stocks. The Dapingtianshan intrusive complex is composed of granodiorite in the margin and monzonite in the center, and has a surface area of approximately 30 km2. In the monzonite unit, there are abundant mafic microgranular enclaves (MMEs).
