Köppen climate type:
The Erlangchuan pluton consists predominantly of medium- to coarse-grained porphyritic monzogranite with weakly oriented phenocrysts. Biotite granitic pegmatite and aplite dikes, ranging in width from 0.6–2.0 m and 0.2–0.4 m, respectively, intrude the monzogranite. Notably, chilled margins are not evident at the monzogranite-dike contacts. Some pegmatites contain columbite and amazonite, suggesting potential for Rb, Nb, and Ta mineralization.
