A classic German locality for schorl and rutile known as Turmalinschurf Irfersgrün (the village of Irfersgrün is located in the Vogtlandkreis district). The site was discovered by chance in the 1960s by the owner of the nearby Lochmühle mill while constructing a forest path. Today, the site is considered extinct. The forest owner has planted trees on the site and does not welcome collectors.
