Old mine, currently lost due to a landslide at the mine entrance. Formerly worked for obtaining alum and, maybe, some iron mineral before the alum mining.
These old workings were found by Eng. José Ignacio Ramos, from Almeria, in 1994. He used to visit the mine several times and was able to collect some sulfate samples that were characterized as slavíkite, pickeringite, botryogen, ...
The slavíkite crystals can be considered among the best of the species worldwide.
