The uranium ore body mainly occurs between marble of the Karibib Formation and gneiss of the Kuiseb Formation, but some others are also found between gneiss of the Rössing Formation and schist of the Khan Formation. The orientation of the ore body varies following the strata’s striking, ranging from north-northeast, near east–west, to north-northwest. The uranium mineralization is developed within a dense cluster of leucogranite veins in the western limb of an overturned anticline, in the core of the anticline occurs the Khan Formation. The main host rock of uranium is D-type leucogranite, and main orebody of uranium is distributed within an area approximately 650 m long and 350 m wide. The orebody is primarily layered, bed-like, and lens-shaped veins trending along the strata, but occasionally cutting across beddings of the surrounding rocks. Uranium grade ranges from 100 ppm to 500 ppm. in the southern mineralization zone of Gaudeanmus area there are two layers of ore veins exposing on the surface, namely the upper ore layer and the lower ore layer. The upper ore layer occurs in the Kuiseb Formation, and leucogranite vein and uranium mineralization generally deteriorate in drilling holes, or even reaching extinction. The lower ore layer occurs in the Karibib Formation. In deeper parts, the number of uraniferous leucogranite veins increases, the main ore body extends steadily to a depth of over 400 m, and the thickness of the ore body increases to 100–200 m.
