Köppen climate type:
The surrounding terrain is composed of metasediments (Figure 8), including fine gneisses and micaschists, enriched with biotite and amphibole. These metasediments are shaped by several isoclinal folding systems and a final crenulation, exhibiting a sub-vertical cleavage that is oriented east-west. Near the contact zones, there are concentrations of white feldspar-mica-quartz, indicative of typical contact phenomena between different rock types. The pegmatite outcrops essentially mirror their actual extension, and contacts with the surrounding rock are evident all around. Occasionally, enclaves of shale less than 1-meterthick, aligned with the main axis, are visible within the pegmatite. The Blakala pegmatite is characterized by its multicentimetre coarse grain size, comprising k-feldspar (20–35%), quartz (20–30%), spodumene (20–30%), white mica, biotite, and opaque minerals (totaling 10–15%). The spodumene crystals can reach sizes up to 30 cm.
