Diamonds.

Sample RV43 was donated by Romeu Veronese (R.V.), who is the owner of the property where industrial diamonds are prospected from a strongly weathered kimberlite (primary source). The Chapadão kimberlite cluster, within the Juína Field, is composed of crater-facies kimberlites containing ash-fall and/or tuffisitic material, which are covered by Upper Cretaceous and Tertiary sediments. The diamond samples are preferentially concentrated in white layers that represent weathered pyroclastic fragments.
