The Jiamate Cu–Au deposit is located in the south of the Mayinebo fault. Local stratigraphy is dominated by the lower member of the Beitashan Formation (D2bt), composed of basalt, basaltic andesite, andesite, and tuffaceous sandstone and serves as the host rock for Cu orebodies. The main structure in the Jiamate ore district is the Jiamate Fault, trending 60°∠60°. Intermediate–mafic volcanic rocks and ultramafic intrusive rocks are distributed along the fault, which clearly controls the spatial distribution of mineralization. In the Jiamate region, intrusive rocks (granite, diorite, monzodiorite) are highly developed, emplaced between Devonian and Carboniferous. Mineralization is largely confined to fault intersections.
Cu–Au mineralization in the region is closely associated with a rock suite ranging from gabbro, diorite to granodiorite, quartz diorite, and porphyrite.
