The Guanfang skarn-type tungsten deposit is located in the Bozhushan tungsten polymetallic ore concentration area in southeastern Yunnan. It is situated at the junction of three major tectonic units of Yangtze block, Cathaysia block and Indosinian block.

Four mineralization stages at the Guanfang W deposit: prograde skarn stage, retrograde skarn stage, quartz-sulfide stage, and carbonate-fluorite stage.

he exposed granite in the mining area belongs predominantly to the Suozuodi Unit of the Chenjiazhai Sequence of the Bozhushan composite pluton. This unit is composed of light pink porphyroid biotite monzogranite, with a medium-to-fine grained texture, and massive structure. The Suozuodi Unit granite is in intrusive contact with the surrounding strata. At its contact with carbonate rocks, hydrothermal metasomatism has produced skarn zones of variable width. The granite-proximal side of these skarns is concentrated primarily of tungsten mineralization within these zones.

Reserves: 0.061 Mt WO3@0.11~1.27%
