Mining concession no. 261, registered on 30-03-1897
[and nos. 257, 258 Lugar do Souto parish, registered on 26-03-1987]

This mine is included in the "Filão Metalífero das Beiras (1) " a quartz and feldspar vein with arsenopyrite. This vein was exploited for As and W, and to a less extent for Pb, Ag, Sn, Au and Cu by mid-1960. After the mining operations ended, the infrastructures were exclusively used for roasting the ore from other mining concessions - and also for treatment and polishing of ornamental stones. In 1995 the area was definitely abandoned.
Some studies refer this area as a system under stress, mainly because the Pintor stream and the Antuã river which are receiving acid drainage from the currently flooded galleries.
