In the Huangdi'nao section, the largest No. III orebody (of 5) is spatially consistent with the NNW F1 fault. This fault is approximately 750 m long and 0.5–4.0 m wide, with dip angles of 45°–75°. Drag faults, cataclasites, fault breccias, and Li-rich gouges have developed in fracture zones. Multistage sulfides-quartz veinlets and stockworks containing considerable amounts of clay minerals occur in or around the fault zones. Consequently, Li mineralization and related alteration are fault-controlled.
The No. II, IV and V orebodies in the Huangdi′nao mining section are hosted by meta-sandstone and sandy slate. In contrast, the largest No. III orebody is hosted by meta-siltstone and argillite. The No. III orebody is NNW striking, with dip angles of 60°–80°, a length of 800 m, a depth of approximately 200 m, and a thickness of 3.1–18.8 m. The ore grade of this orebody is 0.20%–0.47% Li2O, with an average value of 0.32% Li2O. Like to the Jinyinshan section, three stages of mineralization and related alteration have been distinguished in the Huangdi′nao section.
