According to Walling (2005), Erni mine worked on Cu and Co ore and was in close conjunction with Ida mine which was worked for Mn. Both were opened after 1880.

On a small shaft dump of Erni mine some interesting finds could be made in 2002 which are similar to the finds from better known Grüner Löwe and Katharina mines. Unfortunately this shaft is completely fenced nowadays (2025) and not accessible anymore.

All minerals listed here are based on the finds from 2002 and only visually identified. The identifications were based on the similarities to the well-known minerals from other Imsbach mines.

Note: Native copper, cuprite and malachite included in massive quartz that was swapped and sold by collectors around 1980/85 were wrongly attributed as originating from "Erni-Lili", a combined name that doesn't exist in Imsbach and maybe to keep the real locality secret. In fact these minerals are originating from Schartenrück quartz occurrence, Imsbach, Winnweiler, Donnersbergkreis, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
