The Boyaldyr occurrence is an alluvial gold placer located on the southwestern slope of the Bolshoy Karatau, approximately 10 km north of Kentau. Discovered in 1982, the prospect covers a 10-kilometer stretch of the Boyaldyr River valley. The gold-bearing alluvium is relatively thin, ranging from 1 to 5 meters in thickness, and is primarily composed of coarse boulder material.
Initial prospecting via pan sampling (panning) has identified gold in the upper horizons of the alluvium (above the bedrock) at concentrations of 20–40 mg/m³. Similar to the neighboring Kyzylata deposit, the most critical "near-bedrock" (priplotikovy) layers—where gold typically concentrates in high-energy mountain streams—have not yet been evaluated, leaving the full potential of the 10-km stretch undetermined.
