The Shubinskoye deposit is a small copper-pyrite and polymetallic occurrence located a few kilometers northeast of Ridder (Leninogorsk). It was discovered in 1953 based on traces of ancient mining workings. Geologically, it sits at the junction of the latitudinal Uspenskaya graben-syncline and the northeast-striking Uspensko-Karelinskaya crush zone. The structural control is defined by a flexure-like fold formed at the intersection of the Shubinsky and Vdovinsky faults.
The mineralization is hosted within quartz albito-phyres, tuffs, and various schists at the boundary between the Uspenskaya and Beloubinskaya suites. The deposit consists of two distinct ore bodies separated by a 30–50 meter layer of clay schists. The first body is primarily copper-focused (pyrite-chalcopyrite), while the second is polymetallic (galena-sphalerite-chalcopyrite). These bodies dip steeply to the northeast and exhibit a metal ratio of 2:1:4 (Cu:Pb:Zn).
