The estimated gold ore reserve of the prospect is 0.4 million tons with assay values ranging from 0.9 to 4.17 g/t. This area consists of a thick pile of volcano-sedimentary rock sequences belonging to the Hiriyur Formation of the Chitradurga Group (2.9–2.5 Ga). Metabasalt (schistose and carbonated), metagreywacke, phyllite, and conglomerate constitute the major litho-units and, are found to be deformed and altered. These rocks trend N-S to NNW to SSE with moderate to steep dip and, are intruded by dolerite dykes, quartz veins, and quartz-carbonate veins. On the western side, the Kurumaradikere (K.M Kere) conglomerate separates the Hiriyur Formation from the Ingaldhal Formation.
