ⓘ Namuwite ?
Formula: Zn4(SO4)(OH)6 · 4H2O
Description: A XRD in 19/05/2025 analysis of 'namuwite' from this location, has given an odd result and remains a possible 'new species'. Associated with XRD, EDX confirmed bechererite and redgillite, and visual id leadhillite. .
References:
ⓘ Plattnerite
Formula: PbO2
ⓘ Plumbogummite
Formula: PbAl3(PO4)(PO3OH)(OH)6
ⓘ Pyromorphite
Formula: Pb5(PO4)3Cl
ⓘ Quartz
Formula: SiO2
References:
ⓘ Redgillite
Formula: Cu6(SO4)(OH)10 · H2O
Description: Redgillite was confirmed on one specimen (19/05/2025 XRD)collected from the Broadlaw Low Level. The redgillite is associated with confirmed bechererite, visual id leadhillite and possible 'new mineral' looks like namuwite, which has given an odd XRD result.
References:
✪ Steverustite
Formula: Pb2+5(OH)5[Cu+(S6+O3S2-)3](H2O)2
Description: Identified visually by comparison with confirmed Steverustite from several UK sites.
