An amethyst locality first worked by local collectors at a small scale until 2003 when claim was filed to work with heavy machinery by Russ Hage. The size was worked with blasting and excavator and is considered fully depleted.

Exceptional deep colored amethyst with unique habits were present as well as jacare formations.

The pegmatite was a feldspar dominant pegmatite with quartz core zoning.
