Damdamca was the KGD’s first operated site, and mining activity ended in 2014. Mineralization occurs within silica- and iron hydroxide-rich listvenite rock, which is in contact with granite. The contact west of the granite with the serpentinite is tectonic. The orientation of the fault plane is N25E, and the dip direction is NW, with a dip angle of 70°. Data such as fault lines and chatter marks indicate that the movement of the fault could not be detected because the high argilization affected the fault plane.
