Geology: Country rock is a conglomerate intruded by augite-andesites possibly in the form of an apophysis. The andesite shows many mineralized faults, and throughout the andesite is highly fractured. Most of the veins show galena and pyrite. Veins penetrating the country rocks always shos more pyrite than galena. Some veins have sphalerite along with galena, this, and the occurrence at Ciales being the only known places in the island where zinc is found.
Ore(s): Fractures
