Sheared zone hosted orogenic gold
Included within the metamorphic rocks of the Kırşehir Massif, which is a component of the Central Anatolian Crystalline Complex (CACC). The gold mineralization is linked to sheared Paleozoic metamorphic rocks that have been intruded by the Late Cretaceous Çayağzı syenite. The Terziali region is mainly made up of two types of metamorphic rocks: marble and metasedimentary rocks. Marble is most common in the northeastern part of the study area, while metasedimentary rocks are mainly found in the southwestern part. The metasedimentary rocks comprise amphibolite, mica schist, quartz–feldspar schist, and quartzite. Alluvial fan deposits unconformably superimpose the metamorphic units. Extensive outcrops of metasedimentary rocks are seen between İğdeliburun Ridge and Kurtbeli Hill, creating a gently undulating landscape. The Upper Devonian sequence exhibits foliation inclined moderately to the west–southwest. Quartz boudins, generally measuring 3–10 cm, are oriented parallel to schistosity planes. Quartz–feldspar schists, distinguished by their fine-grained quartz, feldspar, biotite, and muscovite, display light brown weathering colors and cream to reddish hues, which are indicative of oxidation and alteration. Micaceous schists, located in the western and southwestern regions, are composed of biotite, muscovite, chlorite, minor plagioclase, and fine-grained quartz; the orientation of biotite and muscovite crystals defines their foliation planes. Amphibolite schists, surfaces at the south of Dede Hill, contain tremolite, plagioclase, and fine-grained quartz, which collectively constitute less than 10% of the rock.
