The No. VI ore block lies in the eastern distal part of the mining area and is one of the most representative areas showing Fe–Pb–Zn coexistence and differentiation. Exploration data indicate that several NW-trending magnetite and Pb–Zn sulfide ore bodies have been delineated. These ore bodies are controlled by the combined effects of carbonate horizons, interlayer fracture–detachment zones, NWW-trending faults and branches of concealed intrusions. Therefore, skarn bodies in section view are not interpreted as simple contact-parallel aureoles around the exposed granitoid alone; some skarn zones occur away from, or at high angles to, the mapped intrusive contact because hydrothermal flow was channelized by permeable structures and favorable carbonate layers. The ore assemblages record a clear oxide-to-sulfide evolution. Proximal to deep parts are dominated by massive or banded magnetite with minor pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite, whereas distal contact zones and upper levels are dominated by galena–sphalerite (±pyrite, chalcopyrite). Gangue minerals include Mn-bearing hedenbergite, andradite, epidote, chlorite, wollastonite, quartz and calcite.
