Köppen climate type:
Trenching reveals a uranium mineralized zone approximately 2 m wide, containing uraninite-rich quartz veins 35–50 cm in width. The quartz veins occur within densely fractured zones in plagioclase gneiss, with wall rocks adjacent to the veins being migmatized two-mica quartz schist. Crystals are well formed, predominantly as cubic–octahedral combinations and rhombic dodecahedra, with minor simple cubes. Grain sizes are mostly ∼ 0.5 cm, with the largest crystals exceeding 1 cm.
