The Jinzhai intrusions are composite plutonic complex assembled by the emplacement of discrete batches of dioritic–granodioritic –acidic magma between ∼135 Ma and 110 Ma during a period of the regional switch from a compressional to an extensional setting. The intrusion of these dioritic–granodioritic–acidic magmas is accompanied with minor mafic magmatic activities, expressed as the pyroxenite or hornblendite within or outward of the complex. The early intrusions of the complex include monzogranite, granodiorite, pyroxenite, hornblendite, and quartz monzonite emplaced in a time interval of 135–123 Ma, they are unfertile and do not host any ore deposit. The late porphyry intrusion of syenite/syenite porphyry, granite porphyry and diorite porphyry of 119 to 110 Ma is considered to be the host of porphyry Mo deposit at Jinzhai (110–114 Ma).
