Köppen climate type:
The predominant rock units in the studied area comprise dismembered ophiolites, island-arc assemblages and intrusive rocks. A tectonic contact is manifested between Ophiolitic rocks and the volcano-sedimentary succession of the island-arc country rocks. Most of the serpentinite masses experienced shearing near the contacts and along shear planes. Different shapes and sizes of listvenite bodies are recorded at Hagar Dungash area in association with serpentinites.
